Meeting Wholeness in the Wilderness 2020
Time & Location
About The Event
Meeting ourselves as Whole and living from that place is our birth-rite. This rite is sometimes veiled by the pressure of a culture that has ignored aspects of wholeness -- such as death and darkness, birth and aliveness, play & innocence, and initiation & purpose -- yet reclaiming our wholeness is accessible through our meeting with the natural world... in such a way we meet the wilderness of our heart --- the place of natural beauty & purpose - beyond any cultural masks or assumed responsibilities.
In this immersion, guests will contact wholeness by exploring the four shields of human psyche with nature ---- specifically the primary, current shield you are working with and any obstacles and gateways within the shield. Our time together with the land will engage with medicine walks, yoga, council, sound healing, a blend of solitude and community, a mixture of guided & silent seated and hiking meditations, art, and primitive practices for relating deeper to the wilderness.
This immersion will take place in the expansive desert near Rabbit Valley, CO (nearest airports are Grand Junction, CO and Moab, UT). We will rendezvous at a direct location near Rabbit Valley on Friday, May 15th before heading to a remote camping site. The site is accessible by car. We will close our circle by 5PM on Monday, May 18th.
