NEW YEAR VISIONING PASSAGE ON THE MOUNTAIN 2023-2024

ATTUNING WITH THE EMERGENT

Visioning invites us to explore the world beyond the seen, and supports us humans opening toward the liminal and the possible. Wild and wildness refers to the untamed aspect of our psyche/Self, and the swirling, creative, and emergent energies inherent within such colorful passion. Wild-visioning is the opening of this inner wildness into the external container of voice & possibility.  Over the course of these five nights and six days you will be immersed into the passage of the new year atop the mountain and create a sacred space for the creative, clear, and wild aspect of your being to accompany yourself & others (human and more-than-human) into the new lunar passage.   

Connecting to the wilderness of the natural world is reciprocal to connecting to the wilderness of our being. Our days together will be taken up with weaving the four shields of human nature & ecopsychology as the foundation for engaging in self-generated ceremony, group council, nature-snowy-explorations (e.g., snowshoeing, sledding, playing), gentle yoga (yin & flow), ceremonial healing sound baths, snowshoeing/ski touring, medicine walks, breathwork, and meditation.  

LOGISTICS

Location: Private off-grid cabin at 11,000'

INVESTMENT:

This program is offered for free as an expression of our deep gratitude to Earth and our human and more-than-human community <3 Donations appreciated but not expected.

FUEL, GEAR, & FOOD:

Participants are responsible for splitting the cost of utility usage (e.g., fuel for the snowmobile ride, stove, solar maintenance) amongst participants (no more than $80 per person, depending on # of guests). All particpiants are responsible for living self-sufficiently for this program and will provide their own food and gear for traversing snowy terrain (e.g., snowshoes, warm clothing). A professional gear list and logistics letter will be emailed upon registration as well as an email thread with all participants: participants generally coordinate travel, ride, and gear sharing. 

TRAVEL to meeting location:

Participants are responsible for their individual travel to a meeting place in Marble, CO where they will keep their vehicles for the duration of the program. Carpooling is often arranged among participants prior to the program. Once at the meeting place, participants will be shuttled with their gear and food to the guide's private mountain driveway at 11,000'. 

REGISTRATION:

Program limited to 8 adult participants ages 18+. Pre-registration is required for this program. If this is your first experience of an overnight program with AOP, a zoom call will follow your pre-registration to ensure that this program is suitable for you. If program is full, please email us to be added to the waiting list. Once registered you will be provided with a detailed logistics letter and gear list.
